Consumer units, or fuse boxes, are the heart of an electrical system. They are also often forgotten about until something goes wrong and a fault appears in the electrics. Whether it be flickering lights or something more serious like an electric shock or electrical fire.

To reduce the risk of electric shocks or electrical fires, outdated fuse boxes should be replaced with modern consumer units with residual current devices fitted.
